20 Minutes to Blog

I feel bad I haven't been able to get on here in so long.  Between wedding, honeymoon, and back to reality, I haven't found my balance yet.  I feel like I'm stuck doing all that I HAVE to do, and nothing I WANT to do.

And now, in between all the running around of today, I have 20 minutes.

It stinks because when I do get those precious moments of me time, I'm worrying about what I have to do next.  There is a long list, some of which I should be doing now, but I just don't want to.

Vacation did something to me, and I can't snap out of it.  I loved so much being around all my friends and family.  Not having to really worry about anything.  I left Arizona liking work, then when I came back it's just not the same.  My jobs wonderful, I love everyone I work with, it's a good company, I just don't want to be there right now.  I want to stay at home.  Take care of the family, craft, cook, go take some classes or something, be in a show...  I hate that this feeling has hit me.  It makes me feel lazy.  Would I actually like staying at home after the first month - knowing me, probably not.  Something is just missing.

Can anyone help me find my mojo?  LOL - I must have misplaced it.  :b

On a good note, I registered for the women's 5k yesterday... to soon realize it's the same weekend as Kaylee's GS camp.  Soooo... I haven't figured that one out yet.  Neither one offers refunds...

Well, times up.  Hopefully I can come back and write soon.

I Googled myself and it felt so good.

Today I was bored and thought I would google myself.  Typed in "Victoria Delaney"  and the first page I get is dedicated to an actress.  My immediate thought was - What the Hell???  Another actress named Victoria Delaney?  How can this be and who do I need to contact to make it stop?
After I calmed down a bit (lol), I decided to check around.  Photos... okay, she's alright - Victoria Delaney material, jury is still out.  Credits... oooo... maybe she's done something good.  That would make the name shareable... Some short films... a cleaner commercial???  A TV pilot???  This isn't looking good.  Some plays I've never heard of... AHHHHH!  Okay, I'm not trying to rag on this girl.  I'm sure she is very proud of what she does.  Actually, I know she is.  She created a website all about her accomplishments.  And I give her kudos for that, but do we really have to share our name?  While my "career" (lol again) was a short one, and definately not over yet... just on haitus... I like to think that it had some meat.  Bridesmaid is not on my acting resume... but Buddah is!  HA HA
Then, I remembered, WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm changing MY name!  BOOOOYAH!  This is when I googled - Victoria Reinhard.  And what did I find????
Copyrights owned by the Florida State Police

A CRAZY LADY charged with O/C DWLS Knowing.  I'm guessing that is Out of control (not really but sounds good) driving knowing that her license was suspended.  I know what you are thinking - Vickie, you were better off with the Delaney woman.  And to this I say - NO!!!  I can work with this!  This Victoria Reinhard name can be BLOWN out of the water!  I am going to be the most Awesome VICTORIA REINHARD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Or, I will just go crazy, dye my hair brown, move to Florida and drive around without a license.  IF this is a preview to my future.  I'm picking most awesome ever.

Uh, I got nothin.

I need something to write about...

I have so much going on, but when I have to vocalize it or even talk about anything in general... My brain goes to mush.

So, tonight I'm just giving you random thoughts from the mind of Victoria.  LOL

Ate some nasty ass fish eggs tonight at sushi cause Scott dared me.

This is my before face.... I was not smiling after.
Bought my Trixie a bed.  Realized my Roxie is a butt head because even though she is a fifth of his size, she beat him up to try and get the bed.

Got a new camera for my b-day.  See above pic.  :-)  Took an awesome pic of K at Westgate.

Bought some fireworks... couldn't help but think this firework was WAY FUNNY!  LOL

And that's all I've got tonight... wish it was a bit more meaningful, but my head is jelly.

My new bucket list...

As of recently, I only had 3 things on my bucket list -

1. See Madonna in concert (Done)
2. See Prince in concert (Done twice)
3. See Michael Jackson in concert. (Never gonna happen.)

Either I thought it was never going to happen, or maybe unconsiously I wasn't planning on living that long.  Either way, this list is almost done and I'm not ready to go anywhere so I figure I need to add a bit more.

Scott's bucket list includes ridiculous craziness.  Stuff I would never do, never want to do, even if you paid me.  He's made me watch too many documentaries about people getting killed on the top of Mount Everest for that to ever be a possibility for me.  So, no thank you, but I am passing on that one.

I'm also not big on doing anything in other countries... oddly enough.  The thought of going somewhere where I can't communicate with others to get what I need bothers me.  And I don't want a tour guide.  I like doing my own thing.  Cool, show me where to go, give me directions, but let me explore.  So international travel.... eh.

Recently some friends of ours went skydiving.  I'm thinking that could be a possibility.  I'll probably poop my pants, but I could be talked into that.

Here's a few of my ideas so far...
1. Skydive (we've covered that one)
2. See Old Faithful
3. See Mount Rushmore
4. Stay a night in the Madonna Inn.  (If you have never heard of it, check it out. http://www.madonnainn.com/  Amazing.  I'm thinking the caveman room is for me.  Totally dressing the part that night.  LOL)
5. Sing in a Band
6. See a Broadway show

I need to add more, but at least it's a start.  I figure I'm not getting any younger, so I better start living life.

Vanity Kills - the update

So, I got the news I was waiting for.... the results of my skin biopsy.  Good news, not cancer - yet.  We luckily caught it in time.  I just have to keep watching my skin, make sure nothing new pops up and I'm in the clear.  The way the doc described it - a precancerous age spot.  She said she has never seen in in someone so young, anyone she's ever seen with this has been in thier 40's.
Bad news, no more tanning beds.  Ever.  I am destined to live my life white and pasty.  LOL - I guess there could be worse fates.
I have included the link that helped me realize that maybe I needed to be checked out.  Hopefully it will help someone else.  And if you do go to the tanning beds - stop.  It may not be a big deal now, but honestly, do you want to even chance it???

Well, if anyone has any recommendations for an awesome sunless tanner, let me know!

This one's for Natasha...

6 years ago today, I lost one of my favorite people.  My cousin Natasha was amazing.  We spent so much time together the last few years of her life, and then she was just gone, with no warning.
We had so many good times together.  I remember one year for Spring Break we decided to go to Panama City to see my mom.  It was probably one of the best trips I've ever had in my life.  We spent the first part of the week on the beach.  The first day there it started raining, but we still walked from club to club, a little damp, and ended up in this little rinky-dink bar where no was dancing.  We didn't care, we danced in the bathroom, danced on the dancefloor.  She got everyone up and had no problem talking to anybody.  She was the life of the party.
But it wasn't all about going out and being crazy.  My favorite part of that trip was when my mom and I made her go to bingo with us.  She complained and thought it was going to be the worst time ever - but we ended up getting there and laughing at all the crazy old ladies with their troll dolls and how insane they would get if someone would shout bingo before them.
She introduced me to Kaylee's father.  Even though we all know how that turned out, I'm so grateful that she did.  Without Natasha, I would have never had my little girl.  I wish Kaylee could have really known her.  I know she would have loved her fashion sense and probably would have asked Tash to take her shopping rather than me.
Every year, I think about how the night she died - I should have been there.  I went out with her alot, but this night I was home with Kaylee.  I wish I would have been more persistant about having her call me if she couldn't drive.  While she was never the one to listen to others, I wish everyday that this one time she did.
I wish she was here.  Especially this year.  I wish she was going to be standing up there with me on my wedding day.
Natasha always tried to talk me into getting a tattoo.  Just a little shamrock, but she said - We are Delaney's, we all need one.  I said I would, but never really got around to it.  Then when she passed, I was so mad at myself for never doing it.  Today, it was meant to be.

RIP Tash - I love and miss you.  And now you will be with me on my wedding day.

Vanity Kills.

So, for our wedding, since it's in a little itty bitty town, I'm doing my own makeup.  I usually feel pretty confident doing my own makeup for special occasions, but this is the mega mega special occasion.  I figured I would have a few makeup trials with professionals to see what they came up with and decide if anything they did I could immitate on our wedding day.  Last night, I messed around on my own using a youtube tutorial...

Me before... pretty ordinary

Me after... excuse the silly face and the bad lighting.

I don't hate the after pic, but something was just not right.  Scott didn't notice a difference.  LOL

So today, I had a makeup trial with the girls at Bobby Brown (not Whitney Houstons ex).  Still not impressed.  As soon as I got out of the store, it felt like my face was a huge oil slick and again, something just wasn't right.  I can't put my finger on it but I still wasn't in love with it.

Now, I'm wondering... am I going to like any of the looks.  Or because all of this is so different from what I normally where, am I going to hate it all?  UUUUUUHhhhhhh

So after that fiasco this morning, it was on to the doctors office.  I thought I would go in and have this spot on my skin looked at, just to be safe.  Little did I know, the doctor was going to want to do a biopsy.  First off, I had no idea what that was going to consist of.  If I had, I would have never brought Kaylee.  As soon as they said "blood, needle, stitches", she was done.  I had to have her sit in the waiting room by herself.  But my girl is awesome, she sat there and played with my ipod and was fine.

The doctor asks - do you go to tanning beds?  Yep, just started for the wedding.  Did you go when you were a teenager -  well, actually before I was a teen, I had an aunt that got me started early but because I knew the dangers of it I stopped going... until recently.  That's when I found a dry patch on my right breast that wouldn't go away.  And when I would try to get the patch off, it would bleed.  My doctor said that by using tanning beds you are increasing your chance of Melinoma (deadly skin cancer) by 70%.  Thats scary.

So, I had the biopsy.  Worst thing about it was the needle for the numbing agent.  And it burned going in...  But the actual procedure was painless.  Very weird sensation to have 2 stitches put into your boob.  LOL  If you've ever had stitches, it's not a smooth sewing motion.  It's a bit of tugging and it just feels odd especially when your whole breast is numb but it's being pulled by a thread.

That's when I started getting woozy.  I love how the doctors always want to ask you questions to try to get your mind off what they are doing.  It doesn't work for me.  I just want to be quiet with my eyes closed.  Let me chillax man!  I'm such a baby.  But once it was done, they gave me juice and I was on my way again.

Have to go back in a week to get the stitches out and hopefully get the results.  I really don't think it's anything, but better safe then sorry.

But I guess what I want everyone to know is - don't do the tanning bed thing.  The doctor said it's much safer to get a little bit of sun time.  It's sad that our vision of beauty is nice bronzed skin and the easist way to get that could potentially kill us.
